Do any of you clever people know how I can share a Wi-Fi internet connection through my Wi-Fi router with the public and neighbours, but still manage to protect my own personal files on my computers? Somebody pointed me to this organisation http://en.fon.com, but they don't support the modem I have. I don't want to change modem, as I would get no support from my ISP. I am using Windows XP Home edition which I guess is a bad start. The modem/router is a 3Com one, which I don?t know if it exists in other countries.
Sharing Wi-Fi internet connections seems like a nice thing to do, but ISPs and software manufactures don?t make it easy.
