I'm making a backup of a CD game and I would like to know which of these CD-Rs is the best to use. I'm checking using Alcohol 120%. Which is the media ID, Media Manufacturer or Recording Layer?

Maxell CD-Rs made in Taiwan
Media Manufacturer: Prodisc Technology Inc.
Recording Layer: PhthaloCyanine Material

Sony CD-Rs made in Taiwan
Media Manufacturer: Sony Corporation
Recording Layer: PhthaloCyanine Material

I need help fast. I'm getting Swap Magic very soon.

Of those two, go with Sony. Sony Media is pretty much always a safe bet. CD-R reviews I've read have them below Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim's, but still very good. I've read they don't burn well at 40x, though that's way too fast to backup CD-ROM games anyway. Burning at 1/4 the speed of the disc is a good practice, though I recommend burning CD-ROM games at 4x if your burner supports it.
