Hello i had ps2 game and have copied all the files from the ps2 disc on to my pc so that i could then make a backup copy of the disc but have trid converting the files into iso format with magic iso then burned usig this aswell but it doesnt play on my ps2, how would i get these files onto a dvd that i would then be able to play on my ps2 is there a special iso writing software i would need that would allow it to be read by my modified ps2, i have the messiah chip in it so it normally isnt a problem

any help is appreciatd

1. get your PS2 modded first as it will not read back ups without modding it. Do a search here and you should find many many many post on what you need to do.

2.you should not have to build an ISO if you did it correctly you would already have one. Scour the net and find DVD Decrypter. This will copy your game to your PC as an ISO file. If you can't find it PM me with your email address and i will get you the set up file.

3.If you doi have all the folders and want to build the ISO yourself you will need a few things. ISO Buster & Nero are the easiest way. I think there are stickies at the top of this section that will tell you both how to rebuild an ISO and how to burn games.

ianmakk, the only thing I use to burn my PS2 games (and files) is alcohol 120%, ULTRA ISO 7 ME, and Nero. If you want to make an ISO file I suggest using ULTRA ISO 7 ME. Then you can use alcohol or Nero (which is also a great app. As to avoid potential "piracy" warns and possible bans, because people here know I support piracy...PM me and I will replace,(give you a copy)of your "lost" copy that YOU PURCHASED because I KNOW YOU OWN THIS COPY OF ULTRA ISO 7 ME and I KNOW YOU HAVE MISPLACED YOUR ORIGIONAL DISC. :-)

alcohol will also make ur iso, but it will be in mds and mdf format but its the same thing, you just click image making wizard then image burning wizard

i dont think you need to make an iso, just insert the game in a DVD drive and use DVDdecryptor to decryt it and u will get an ISO and mdf/mds(cant remember) right there and then u can burn using DVDdecryptor again.
