Mmmmm..try a slayers disk..menu...backup eeprom to hdd..
but your softmodding should have backed up your eeprom anyway..(apparently some softmod installers don't) and there should be a menu item in your dash to do it again anyway..Is the eeprom.bin file on it's own on the floppy?
A thought..maybe wrong..Linux is case sensitive..try all caps and/or small for the filename and see if it makes any difference..

First off, are you talking about the stock HD giving you the errors? Here is a possible solution for the eeprom thing. Make sure you copy all 3 eeprom files to the disk. Also check the disk for bad sectors. Also, I recommend copying the stock drive directly to the new one. It takes about an 1 and 1/2 hours but its worth it. Then to enable the extra 110 or so GB's of space, add the F: drive. Why wouldn't you just FTP the eeprom files over to your pc in the first anyway?!?
