Look. Some of you say, "OMG.. CELL PROCCESSOR!!!1!!@#" or "3.2GHZ GRAPHICS WITH 2.6 GIGABAND BABBLE" (and yes thats just a parody, I do know what that stuff means). Look. SNES/(Virtual Boy?????)/N64. Genesis/Dreamcast. Those were big changes in graphics. Now we have good enough graphics to matter. If we keep on improving graphics for 30 years even, what will we get? Something as good as Pixar, only realtime. Not a drastic change. That's why SYSTEM SPECS DON'T MATTER. What do we care about, the library of games. Ok. (Fast-loading times is an issue we can't see with the Revo right now, but it seems pretty good, so i'll leave it alone.) Library of games. Classic Downloadable Games by emulation. But what you don't know about this emulation is this emulator was designed not as a hobby, but as a product. By the same people who made the architecture. It's going to be fast. Done. Finally, All Nintendo-made games are going to be a top-notch seller. Why? To experience how to play Mario Kart with the new Controller?? But then there are lots of extentions to be made, including a regular controller and a wheel, which I bet the game will get support for. Now take that argument and apply it to all games. Done.
Uhhh all those downloadable old games aren't all that great. You can just get a controller for your PC and download them and play them on your PC. It's just a cute little extra. I'm not saying classic games are bad. They're great. But I'd rather just play them on a computer than buying a Revolution just to play them. But that's just me. And the PS3 does have a very extensive game library. I doubt the XBox 360 will have many rhythm games.
I just had to put my point on the "faster than light" processor. If you fell into beleiving that, well, just, no. I also had to point out that, and I quote from some of the members on this forum:
Xbox: Xbox Alpha Release Candidate 1
Xbox 360: Xbox Beta Release Candidate 1
Yes, I am a Nintendo fanboy. And that is because they were the company to give us Zelda, DKC, Mario Series, Metroid, etc. They mastered the market. And they will keep on doing it.
i dont think nintendo can just allow all their nes,snes,n64 games to be downloaded like that , theres third party's who own such games like mortal kombat ,contra, tmnt, street fighter ect.
the thing about downloading games inst really great ,beacuase i have been playing those games on my pc for free, and i know im not the only one ^^^^
not just nintendo games ,but other old systems too. its like i can play nes, snes games on my psp.
i think nintendo is going to charge some $$$ for downloaling the games ,and theres when they are going to lose me.
instead of that focus of making new good games for the system .
Nintendo said all FIRST PARTY GAMES would be free. They didn't say anything about Capcom, Konami, Square, or any of those other guys, who might place a charge, but then, how the heck are you going to "subscribe?" More evidence that it might be free.
