Why don't you try using DVD Decrypter? I used this program to do a 1:1 copy of GoW onto a Verbatim DL disc.

Do you have some means of booting DVD-9 (Dual Layer) games like a Modchip with DVD-9 support or HD Advance 3.0? Swap Magic can't boot DL games. ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter work well for burning Dual Layer games. Use quality Dual Layer media like Verbatim. DVD Decrypter can handle mds files yes.

Pick up some Verbatim DL Media. It's $12 for a 3 pack at Wal-Mart, or you can order it online in bulk and save some money. I've backed MGS2: Substance, Xenosaga, God of War, and GT4 on Verb DL DVD+R (booktyped to DVD-ROM) no prob. My Matrix Infinity handles it fine.
Here's a great deal: http://supermediastore.com/verbatim-double-layer-dvd-8x-95166-10-...
10 Verb DVD+R DL discs for $20 with free ground shipping, that's a helluva deal. Or you can pick a 3 pack up at Wal-Mart.

I have a huge problem trying to rip MGS2:Substance PS2 and use it with SWAP MAGIC 3.6. I've followed the old guide step by step and the hexing guide, but when i use CD/DVD GENERATOR to make the .IML file it says "TOO SHORT LOCATION LENGTH" So then i replaced the three 1 byte dummy files i recreated to the original DEMO2, STAGE2, & VOX2.DAT files, created the .IML file, used .IML2ISO then burned it with DVD Decrypter and it was no good. the game stood on the black screen after LOAD PROGRAM. WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG WITH THE DUMMY FILES??????? PLZ HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!

Quit posting that Gamergod. I've seen that post in four other threads. If somebody can help you, they will. Until then look around and be patient. Nobody's going to help you with the obnoxious multi posts.

I agree with Tokijin, this is not helping you to keep "jacking" other people's threads... has been reported.
