Audio Delay with DVD Pro

Thanks for listening guys

I have converted an Xvid file into audio and video files using mulipass settings in CCE but when these are compiled with DVD Pro there is an audio lag.
DVD Pro says to insert the multiplexed file and use audio delay to calcularte the delay. So I compile a sample to VOB and join VOB's it tells me there is zero delay.
The delay is visible so I'm unsure of a fix for this
