I ripped an iso from an original game and have since had this game crash on no matter what disc(tayo yuden, etc)I put it on or what speed I burn it at.

My question is, could the file have been damaged because the dvd was scratched? Originally, DVD decrypter ripped this with no error, its just when I burn it to another disc, I get crashes during gameplay and now can't rip it with dvd decrypter, have to use alcohol because its reporting errors

If DVD Decrypter is reporting errors when it tries to read the disc then i would say that could be the problem for sure.
It would not make a good copy of the game and anything that you burn from that would not work well if it worked at all.
Your best bet is to go online and find a copy to download.
If you own the game then i would figure it would be legal to get a copy off the net for the purposes of backing it up.

thats what I was thinking also, it just seemed strange that the original game was ripped with no error and still crashed on every disc it was put on...??
