i play my 360 on a 27" non-hd non-flat screen and the graphics are still freakin amazing. the tv that you play on only enhances the quality of the image though, the graphics are purely from the box.

Think of the difference like the difference between a brand new VHS movie from the store and a DVD of the same movie. The DVD clearly looks better but it's not a huge difference. Still I think you should be playing it on at least a 27" TV if it's not HD.

Really? Cause alot of people have told me on forums and in real life that the image isnt anything compared to what it is on a HDTV if your only playing on standard def.

The truth I never seen the 360 on a regular TV. I bought my 360 and my HDTV the same time. I do think the graphics on the 360 are great on HDTV.

I would imagine so, i've only seen the 360 on HDTV displays at stores and they look real good (except king kong)you can see what an HDTV does for the 360 in PGR3 especially, you can see every small detail from individual leaves on trees, and there is a undeniable "shine" to the whole thing. Taking those things away i can only imagine what a Xbox 360 hooked up onto a standard Tv would look like, which in my mind isnt that bad but you arent getting the full experience without a HD television. When i buy my 360 (if i do end up buying one) im going to buy a HDTV soon after anyways if i can muster up[ the cash.

I say get it. Anything new that comes out is going to be HD too, you gotta make the jump some time. It isn't going to look bad on regular tv, the old Xbox didn't look bad. Besides, I do not think that it is "true" HD is it? It is still DVD based, it just has component connections, DVD's cannot do HD. They just dazzle you at the store displays by hooking the Xbox to high resolution monitors.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter alone is worth buying the Xbox 360. I stayed up until 3 am this morning playing it online. That game just raised the bar. Live is incredible. It's best to get into a game on live when it first comes out so your learning curve is close to everyone else's. Otherwise, you get killed fast.

I honestly think that it will look fine on your 32 inch tv. HDTV's should start dropping dramatically in price soon. I heard there was a bill signed recently that said that all broadcasting will be digital in 3-5 years.?. If that's true, everybody that doesn't have an HD ready set will have to buy new tv's, tv makers will start making only HD tv's, flooding the market and drastically dropping the prices. That should be just in time for the Xbox 720;-)

LOL@ Xbox 720 I do agree with you though, and it is true that all tv signals are going to become HD/digital and that HDTVs are gon be dropping in price dramtically soon as they become "older" tech, i mean really 5 Grand for a high end TV?? Thats alot of money for that if you ask me.

i have a massive sony tv (really old - over 12 years now) but i cant afford to sell and buy another one.
the quality is good but the size is mad, its 36" and buying a tv that size HD is gonna cost me a fair bit.
i'll buy one when i get a job later on. i jus cant wait to finish my last exams (GCSE) at school and leave so i can work for technology! :)
