I have been using any dvd, clone dvd2, and DVD Shrink and I continue to have the same issue with burned disk. I bought a 50 pack of Phillips -R disk the first 20 burned fine but i then started having problems. I am not sure if it is the media or the encryption. The disk burn fine without any errors but when I play them back on a dvd player they freeze up at around 38 minutes until about 44 minutes video before and after that point is fine. Any idea what is causing this.
This is just a total shot in the dark on my part. I don't know anything about Philips media but I can't see freezing and resuming at the same points. Trying another media would answer this. Also, AnyDVD should remove any encryption. Is it possible that your burner needs a firmware upgrade? Or, if not, ensure that burns are done at 4x.
Most likely the problem is due to media. Phillips is well known for buying some of its media from cmc mag which is complete landfill material. Authentic phillips made media in my experiences is pretty good but very rare. Run a disc through dvd identifier to see who it's made by. http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ You can also try burning it at 2x if it turns out to be cmc mag. Note: if it is cmc mag and you are able to get it to playback without errors it will more than likely be unplayable in 6 months to a year due to dye deterioration.
