I just want to know why those games that I bought from asia you know those pirated game cost about $1 a disk works on my unmodded ps2, while the backup games( from original ps2 disk /ntsc/US) that I have wont?

(My ps2 is an unmodded north america version)

Because those asian ones although sometimes badly done have mostly been "properly" pressed using a pressing machine, like official games. So your ps2 wont notice any difference.
