Hello friends!
I am new to BitTorrent and wanted to know which is the best BitTorrent software to download the torrent files. I tried BitComet, BitTorrent & BitTornado and feature wise BitComet seemed to be the best to me. BitTornado was really simple but had no search options.
Apart from this, I guess we can download the torrent files from the torrent websites. As in BitComet, there seems to be a huge list of websites from where we can download these torrent files. Now can you guys give me the list of some really good websites which has a good list of these torrent files.
Thank you.

Have a look here :

http://www.p2pcore.com/torrents.php

Just be aware that BitComet has been banned by most of the private trackers. I use ”Torrent for them.

I find Azureus to be the best torrent because I use Optusnet (Australia) and I have 24Gb Off-peak downloadage, so i like to use they speed scheduler plugin for the off-peak time.
There are alot of sites, ive looked around for a while...
http://newnova.org is a gr3at lil nova site
http://torrents.to is a search site for most of the GOOD torrent sites... I found that, those sites care for all my BT needs...

Utorrent and Bitcomet are the best in my opinion. As for websites, if you cant get into a private tracker like http://torrentleech.org or http://torrentbytes.net then check http://isohunt.com and http://torrentspy.com .

Enjoy!

Hi, can someone tell me how to upload a torrent. I think I'm getting a bit confused because I see for uploads it says to upload a .torrent file. All of my files are .AVI, mpeg, iso or .mp4. Do I need to change my files or what? Since I do download I would like to also upload. So if anyone has any EASY steps, please let me know. Thanks.

Torrents, they rely on downloading off other people, soo as well as downloading from someone else you need to upload to someone else... its like a spider web, it just keeps goin...
.torrent mearly tells the program where to download from (tracker), what files to download and how big they are... To make a .torrent you need a program to do that, Azureus is one of the many programs that can download and make torrents...
For a tutorial on how to use (download, make... whateva) go on this site, its just a link to afterdawns tutorial...
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/guide_to_azureus.cfm
and to download azureus:- http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
Have fun, remember... not all downloading is illegal...

OK this is what you do

- First, you need a program to make the torrent. download MakeTorrent and install it. you can get it here
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/burst/maketorrent-2.1.exe?download

- install the program
start the program

- Browse to the folder that contains the files you are going to share
and then, click on the "All" button:

-Set the "tracker" parameter to "to whatever tracker youre seeding to"
add a comment for your torrent, and click on the "Create .torrent" button:

- now go to the website where you going to seed to and set up your torrent there too. I cant give you detailed instructions there because every one is different.

-I'm assuming you already have a bittorrent client installed
on your computer. Browse to the folder on your harddrive where you saved the new .torrent file, and double click it. Your BitTorrent client should start and ask where should it save the received files from this torrent. Select the folder you used earlier. The BitTorrent client will see that you already have the files, and start seeding them.

Hope this helps some
Good Luck
