I've tried adding the root menu, and chapter, and audio, but when I play the disc, it pauses about a half second at each menu item and then goes to the main movie. What am I doing wrong? I can't seem to just pick the menu selection as a whole and add it--I have to select the items under it, which I am doing, only they just fly by into the movie.

You cannot reauthor and preserve your menu with Nero Recode, it is like Shrink. Even though you use Remake a DVD you will not be able to get the menu to function. If you want to do the movie and keep your menu then use CloneDVD it has that capability.

Thanks! I thought no one was going to answer. I'll use Clone for menus and Recode for straight to movies.

That is what I do and it is one of the reasons I purchased Clone because it has the ability to preserve the menu. I like to split TV series disk because of compression and Clone does this the best and then I can still utilize the menu to pick the episode. Happy burning to ya :)
