Hi There,

Here are my details on the file I'm trying to encode...
File : 700 MB (700 MB), duration: 1:46:56, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 45 %

Video : 610 MB, 797 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 576*240 (2.21:1), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported

Audio : 90 MB, 117 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, Supported

When I go through the wizard - it's telling me that my movie info is..

720 x 480 23.976 48000hz stereo / 347 min 45 sec

Average Bitrate = 3000
estimated size = 8567 megs (8.5 gig?!?!?!)

DVD-R 4.7GB (UDF) MAKES FILE SIZE 203.98 % OF DISK SPACE

what's up with this ???
The movie is only 146 minutes and shouldn't convert to 8+ gigs
Also - when I started the convert process - it saya 85 hours to complete.

Can anyone shed any light on this.

I did another avi with similar info and it was in range with all the right figures.

Tmpgenc sometimes will think your AVI file is Twice as Long as it really is...To Fix this you can try 2 things...go to "Options" to "Enviromental settings" to "VFAPI Plugins" and Raise the "Direct Show File Reader" to "2" and this will sometimes fix the Problem but if not then go into the "Source Range" settings in the "Advanced" Tab and select the Beginning and end of the File as the encodeing Range and this will tell TMPGEnc were the Beginging is and then end is so it know how long the File really is which will fix the problem...
