DL to Two Single Layer - Playing in DVD Disc Changer ?

Hi everyone. If I backup a DVD9 to two DVD5's, is there any way that you can play them in a dvd disc changer and have the transition between the two seamless ?

Or does it have to be the whole - select next dvd etc...

I think you have to physically select the next DVD so it can load....

My DVD carousel automatically moves on the next disc when I'm watching one of my backups because there is no menu to fall back to, but it takes 20-30 seconds worth of transition from disc to disc...so I hardly think that it would be possible.

Why not just use DVD Shrink or Nero Recode and put the whole thing on one disc? Contrary to popular beleif, the quality is pretty good...I do it all the time.

Well it would be nice to have a full quality backup as if i lose the original cos then im gonna have a substandard replacement !

I know that the quality is pretty good but im viewing on a 100" projector screen so small differences will be easily noticeable :/

That's why I use a program like VOB Blanker>it can get rid of all the annoying special features (which most of the time I don't watch anyways) so when you load the "blanked" DVD image into DVD Shrink, you can go from about a 50% quality level to 100%!(I will warn you that's not in all cases; with my experiences, normally I can bump up a DVD at least 20%>hard to do w/T.V. seasons on DVD, though.)

Maybe you should look into DVD Rebuilder, it is second to non in quality. But then logic would tell me to store my original in a safe place and use my backup to get used and abused.
