I hope all you guys in the USA got the sunday newspaper. In the best buy flyer they had the Microsoft Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Value Pack for 19.99. I took the ad to wal-mart and circuit city for them to beat the price, overall I got 5 of them for less than $90! Ebay here I come.

Are you kidding me? Are you sure it was 12-Month and a starter kit? Because the starter-kit comes with the headset and all that stuff, right?

This is from the best buy site:
Our 3/12/06 Sunday ad states the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Pack for Xbox 360 (SKU 7530184) is $19.99. This is incorrect. Our ad should state the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Pack for Xbox 360 is $69.99. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
Still, you should get the sunday newspaper and take the ad to other stores that price match. circuit city will beat the price and give it to you for 14.99. That's the shit! If any can get the ad PM me I'll sell you one for cheap.

You can try but they sent a memo to all the stores to say not to sell them. If you do get it, post what happened here. I have a feeling that would be a hell of a story.

you take the ad over to best buy saying " i wanna buy that, at this price"... and they'll say some crap saying that there was an error on it, but you complain saying it says your ad was saying that, and yeah blah blah until they're convinced and you end up being a mad customer...my uncle did the same thing with best buy buying a iPod nano for $150, it was on advertisment and he fought for it...it worked lol...try it... ne one know what day that ad came out on??

The funny part is that the person who I was talking to he told me if Best Buy are selling them by $19.99 we can do the same. I have to check tomorrow I HOPE THEY GOT SOME.

any store you goto will give you a hard time to buy the pack at 19.99. They buy it from ms for $50 each! All the stores I went to almost shit a brick when I showed them the best buy ad. It was pretty funny.

Yes I was talking about the Best Buy ad. Wal-mart will price match. They should anyway. I already know of someone doing it there. Most other places would probably give you a hard time.

yeah, i tried CircuitCity since they price match, but when they called bestbuy to confirm that bestbuy had them in stock they checked the price w/ the clerk, and so they wouldn't do it for anyless then 49.99 (which is what bestbuy said they were) and i went to walmart and they don't have the 12month premium packs here where i am, and kmart won't price match, neither will target....
but i was hoping i woulda got some at the 19.99, but oh well, damn best buy for catching their typos.

I'm sure all the Wal-marts were cleaned out pretty early. They could easily be sold for profit on Ebay.
