I've never tried a torrent before. I've connected with azureus, have greens everywhere, and have tried a couple of downloads. They are just deadly slow. My dl speeds are like max 20Kb/sec. Uploads are 2x-3x that. I'm getting 9 and 28 day ETAs...I mean that's not worth it. I trying to dl 10g and 4 torrents, large I know, but not uncommon I guess? But in any case it's too slow. I've checked a listing somewhere on isps that throttle torrent channels, but mine was not listed (comcast).

Just thought I'd check. I know torrent is popular but I can't see using it at this pace for more than an occasional song or something.

Actually that is pretty good.....but yea they are usually slow....Movies can take like 20 hours sometimes.....If you want to make them a little faster you could portforword and open your ports...IF you want to learn more i think it is a sticky....And i usually only download 1 or two torrents at a time......IT makes your downloads complete faster..........

Your speeds will always be reliant on the number of seeds and the speed at which those seeds upload.

Consider joining a private tracker. You will get better speeds.
