Yet another newbie question for you gurus out there. Could you please give an idea on what the best software is to use for backing up my PS2 games as well as my DVD's for my Home DVD player. I would really like to use only one program for the process and the simpler the better. My ideal program would let me put the disk to be copied in my burner and the program would take over from there with me only having to mess with it once its time to put a blank disc in. I'm not worried about the price to much just as long as it works good. That's for all your help in advance.

hi
ok if you want ease of use then for dvd movies get AnyDVD & clonedvd2 (you need both of these as one is a ripping/burning software & one is to remove copy proection.

for cds get clone cd - this will allow you to back up copy proected cds.

you can get all theses programs from slysoft.com (you can get a 21 day free trial) & if you buy a bundle they give you a discount, also if you type afterdawn in the coupon/discount option you will get an additional discount.

these are fairly easy to use & have never let me down when backing up a copy protected disc. in my opinion & several others on this site they are well worth the $$

for ps2 games i use DVD Decrypter which is a free download that you will find with a google search.

for dvd movies-
there are also several other free programs which you can use but involve using 2,3,or 4 different programs depending on the movie, and are not straight forward to use. although once you have used them a few times it all becomes clear :-)

try the trial downloads from slysoft & see if they are any good for you. if would prefer to try some free programs then post back & we can give you the names & uses of some.

with any of the programs you decide to use there are some excellent guides here on afterdawn that have ALWAYS helped me past any problems i might encounter

i hope this helps, happy burning
