hi everyone, i've been using Azureus for a long time already and this is the first time i've encountered this problem, when i try to download a file from azureus, it would download for a couple of minutes but after a while it'll come up with this error message:
Error: Resume data save fails: A device attached to the system is not functioning, write fails, flush fails
This error doesnt affect a large torrent which i've been downloading way before this problem happened, any help is appreciated alot
Peculiarly, this only happens for video files it seems because i just tried downloading a .exe file and it hasnt stopped so far...
Hi there. I'm no expert at Azureus, but it sounds like it may be having a hard time accessing your hard drive. When you start downloading a file, Azureus will reserve a chunk of harddrive space for it, so what might be happening is you may have the one file downloading just fine on a good portion of your drive, while the failed download could be on a sector that is going bad. Try running some software to make sure it's not your harddrive causing the issue. You may also want to get a program to check the SMART readings from your harddrive. If it does turn out to be your harddrive, don't dispare. I've actually been lucky enough to have fixed several using software. Be it a simple format, or reinstalling the MBS, or even a cool little dos program that I have, there may be ways to save the drive. Keep us posted on how everything works out.
to get a patch for it. I don't recomment stealing the software, but if you want to make sure it is what you want, this is a good way to go.
I am sure there are better programs out there, but this is the one that I use. If you don't have a floppy, brainstorm a way to contact me and I'll send you an ISO copy that you can turn into a bootable CD.
