I just got another XBOX after selling my old one. I want to do a soft mod to it, my old one had UnleashX, XBMC, DVD2Xbox, and many emulators. I have tried auto installers that I have burned to a cd and DVD but they will never boot, I changed out the DVD drive with a different Make from a different XboX and still nothing. I cant seem to get my xbox to come up in my network neighborhood when plugged into my router. Does anyone have a clue or an idea to help me get off the ground with this little task of mine?
Thanks

Phil

Well lets start off with a few questions.
1. is it softmodded?
2. can you get an FTP program to connect at all?
3. have you set up the settings in both the FTP program & Xbox?
4. will it read other discs and just not the Autoinstaller?
5. what brannd, speed and +R or -R DVD was it.

YO!
I finally Have it MOdded with UnleashX but I cannot find other software. Everywhere I look for emulators, XBMC or DVD2Xbox It says NO DOWNLOAD, WHY THE HELL PUT IT ON YOUR SITE IF YOU DONT FURNISH THE FILES!
LOL
I would like those please. Emus DVD2Xbox and XBMC, if anyone has links to find these I would highly aprecate it! Also my old Xbox was soft modded with UnleashX and could boot backups no problem, i take the same backups and try them on this XboX and it says DVD: Unkown, and will not boot them. it has a Samsung Drive, I dont know what my old one had
Thanks

The media may be the reason. Some Xbox's read more media types than others.

As far as the programs you want, go on the net and search the word "torrent"
When you find some site you want to search them for Slayer 2.6
or AID (auto installer Deluxe)
those are what you need. It will install all those things and much more. I have also seen downloads that have Xbox tools and Xbox program updates that will have everything you need.
The auto installers will have emulators, roms, dashboards, and most of the applications everyone uses all installed in one easy step.

when you got AID was it an ISO file that you burned to DVD?
the other option is to take the ISO if that is what you have.
Use Qwix or Craxtion4 to extract the folders from it to another folder on your PC
Then FTP that folder into your APPS folder which will be either on the E: or F: partition depending how you modded it, you will know which one as it will have the most space available.

That or go find Slayer 2.6 and burn that to a DVD
