I have a huge problem trying to rip MGS2:Substance PS2 and use it with SWAP MAGIC 3.6. I've followed the old guide step by step and the hexing guide, but when i use CD/DVD GENERATOR to make the .IML file it says "TOO SHORT LOCATION LENGTH" So then i replaced the three 1 byte dummy files i recreated to the original DEMO2, STAGE2, & VOX2.DAT files, created the .IML file, used .IML2ISO then burned it with DVD Decrypter and it was no good. the game stood on the black screen after LOAD PROGRAM. WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG WITH THE DUMMY FILES??????? PLZ HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPP!

U gay!

If you have a usb device pluged in it might do what your saying it does. It does that when I try to use my flash card. It also can be caused by your controller is not pluged in properly or your contoller is worn out. I recomend you fallow that guide, if you don't have a flip top lid to adjust your lens. Heres what I did, becuase I have a flip top lid older ps2 v4.

1.Turn on your ps2, press the eject, turn of your ps2 leaving your cover open press the on/off switch in the back.

2.Mark the orignal postion with a permanet marker.

3.Turn the dial clock-wise it will click and drop the tray continue on to the orignal postion (you may or may not have to do this 2 to 3 times I got this ARMAX that my ps2 has trouble reading).

4.Turn the system on and press the eject button and turn your system off with the power button 5 sec hold.

5.Turn on agin and press eject or use your flip top lide whatever you preffer and insert disc.

I hope this helps you as much at it helps me.
