Well I want to play burned games for my ps2 without shelling out $150 for a mod chip or buy a swap magic disk online. So my theory is that if load a real ps2 game in the ps2's browser then used a homemade slide tool (I got the measurements off a website) and swap it with a backup game that it will load and play. N e way before I take off the front of my ps2 disk-tray and cut up a old credit card do you think my idea will work?

No, it won't work. You will need to get either a mod chip or boot disk. If money is the issue, go with Swap Magic 3.6. You can get it, along with a slide card for $20.
