Ive been backing up my discs for a few months now...but...some games back up some dont...example: MOH big red one - no probs....Black -Probs....my origional thoughts were that using FAT 32 on xp was cutting the file into 3 so the mds file was not able to read the extra file ( im backing up with dvd decrypter ) but now I dont think this is the case as I tried to backup Tony hawkes American wasteland
and this is only around 2.5 gig...the discs I'm writing to work - I have copied 20 of my games with them and no probs....but right now its a bit AAAAGGGHHH !!! any thoughts . CHeers

Your best bet would be to format your hard drive to NTFS. That will eliminate the problem.

What happened when you tryed to load tony hawk?
What brand discs are you using?
FYI, you can format your drive to NTFS without losing any information (ask if you want to know how).

thanks for your reply...; i dont have a prob with using NTFS... the thing is, do I need to in order to burn ALL games...in other words is there anyone out there burning all games with FAT 32 ? Tony Hawkes seemed to burn but would not play same with Black as with some others....and finaly, do you think (my thoughts at present ) that the discs i'm using at present - cheap unbranded - ones are able to copy some games but not all? this may be the prob ...whats your thoughts on these points. MAny thanks.

This is more than likely your problem. Look at the - Games stuttering and freezing or just not loading up? link in my signature regarding DVD brands used and the reccomended ones.

"FYI, you can format your drive to NTFS without losing any information (ask if you want to know how)."

I bought a new HD a few months ago and didn't realize it was in FAT 32. I would love to know how to format to NTFS without losing any information.

Thanks!
