What you need:
1.Make torrent version 2.1 which can be downloaded here, http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/maketorrent/

2.All the files that you wish to have in your .torrent file, make sure they are all in the same directory. For best results zip them with winrar or similiar.

3.The tracker URL, the tracker is the site that will host the .torrent file e.g. http://inferno.demonoid.com:3390/announce, this is the tracker URL for www.demonoid.com. The trackers URL can usualy be found on the website of a torrent file host i.e. www.torrentleech.com, www.isohunt.com

Step 1.
First refer to the left hand of MakeTorrent, from here search for the directory that holds the files you want in your torrent. If you have zipped them then you should see the one file that you have zipped, the files within the directory will come up in the window on the right.

Step 2.
Now that you have the files you with to have in you .torrent file you now need to select which of the files you actually want in the torrent file. If you want all the files in the .torrent file that select the 'All' button, if you only want certain files then select on of the files then hold down the 'Ctrl' key and select the other files you want in the .torrent file.

Step 3.
Now that you have selected which files you want in the .torrent file you will now need to put the tracker URL into the 'Tracker' field. (You can generally find the tracker URL on the site on where you want to host the .torrent file e.g. http://inferno.demonoid.com:3390/announce is the tracker URL for www.demonoid.com if you cant find the tracker URL of the site then try searching for it in google, i.e. Isohunt tracker URL.)

Step 4.
Now its time to create the .torrent file. Simply press the 'Create .torrent now!' button, when you do so you will be asked to save the .torrent file somewhere, best thing to do is create a new directory dedicated to you .torrent files and save them there.

'MakeTorrent' will now create the .torrent file and save it to the directory you chose. OK! you have finished creating you .torrent file. Now to upload it!

Step 5.
For step 5 i am using www.demonoid.com to quickly how to upload a .torrent file, unfortunatley i do not know how other sites upload torrents.
First press the browse button and find the directory where you saved the .torrent file.

Step 6.
Now that you have found the .torrent file you now need to give it a name and a description, the name is the key words so dont give it anything complicated i.e. if its a film just call it 'James Bond - The world is not enough' of course name it the film is actually is.

Once you have given the torrent a name and description press the 'Finish Upload' button.

Step 7.
Now that you have uploaded you .torrent file to the trackers site you will now need to 'Seed' the torrent, to do this open up you torrent client, i.e. Azureus, Bitcomet etc. Go to File>open>.torrent file. Find the directory where you saved the .torrent file and double click it. You will notice that the torrent goes to you current downloading list, wait a few seconds while you torrent client recognises that you already have these files downloaded, once it has noticed you already have the files downloaded it will send the .torrent to the completed downloads section of you client where it will now be seeded, leave your client on for a few hours while other users download and seed you .torrent.

Success! you have created and seeded a torrent.

*For step 7 i used what i know from the Azureus client unfortunatly i do not know what other torrents are like when it comes to open .torrents but i presume they a similiar*

*This is not the most in depth guide but hopefully it will help you generally understand how to make a .torrent file yourself.*

*Please if you know the tracker URLs for other torrent sites please PM them to me so i can add them to this tutorial*
