Not trying to rain on everyones parade, but as much I wish this is totally without a doubt true, I still have my doubts. How do we know there isnt another 360 plugged in the back of the TV running the same game. I hope this is a valid video and 360 has finally been cracked, but just saying.....

ye u have a point there, but looks like it may be true. but i dont think it will be that easy to get a back-up working for us though. it will take a while for everyone to get it working in homes

Ya very I also hope its true but I'm going to be more realistic atm and say its a fake. They should just release the info or source code for the firmware they used to boot the copy. The video could also be faked like others say which I don't doubt might be the case. Heres praying that this will EVOLVE into more hacking in the next few months!

From reading the article on this web page it seems that even if you had the hacked firmware, the type of hardware modifications you would need to do, make it seem impractical. I guess modifications is not a good word, but what you would have to do to get the firmware on the dvd-drives chip seems difficult.

actually all i hope is that using the software provided by microsoft for backwards compatibility is used to emulate xbox wich seems by microsoft no long interesting for them since no more backward compatibility is being added, it makes me think xbox 360 is never going to be 100% compatible with xbox wich makes it understandable to be emulated, a days a go i read a post of someone asking if xbox would ever emulate xbox360, every body laughed at it, even me, but made me think, would it be possible to be made by ctacking teams that xbox 360 one day may emulate all of xbox games??? hope so, since mucrosoft doesnt seem to care about it, cause if they care, they´d been realising at least one game a month, just to show they care

This hack successed in their system. Because they know how to change the firmware of DVD drive. But for us, it is very hard to do so. Even they release the instruction, I dont think we are able do it.
If they hack the firmware in dvd drive and sell it to us, then we are ok.

sadly i have a samsung drive as i have just realized
and secondly u cannot back-up ur own 360 games which is rubbish!!! who have to download dem!!!
is dis definately true?
