My PS2 sometimes can read my FujiFilm DVD-R 8x discs (TY02), sometimes not. I burn it at 4x speed, but it stills give me a red screen sometimes. what's wrong?

+does verbatim 16x dvd-r's work for PS2? if so, what speed should i burn at?

try realigning/cleaning your laser.
Ive heard ps2's have probs with 16x discs even if they are verbatim, get some 8x and burn at 4x. The general rule for burning is half the max speed so try 16x one's at 8x and that doesnt work try 4x.
