Let me just say good work to those who in their free time to help others like me.My problem is i borrowed a original music cd from a friend an i transfered it to my pc.when i played it , it acted as if it was scratched....so i loaded it the rite way which didn't give me the option to put them in itunes but in stead i had to load it in windows media player.now when i try to add the songs to itunes it says it cannot convert "protected WMA'S".so my question is how do i get to convert protected WMA'S to a reg mp3 format...

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

Has anyone using AnyDVD been able to get around the CD DRMs? In the CD portion of setting up AnyDVD, there is a tick box for Removing CD digital audio protection. Since I haven't bought a cd in years and have no access to a DRM protected cd, will AnyDVD fool the converting program to allow an mp3.

In other words, does it do to a CD what it does to a DVD, unprotect it???????

AnyDVD will do protected CD's just like it does DVD's. I have done numerous protected Audio Books using AnyDVD in the background. As for music CD's I rarely buy those either, just dl from ITunes now.

@jasonyhap

Try AnyDVD as arniebear said; it will remove copy protection. Free trial at slysoft.com Might be answer to your problem. At $39 the best just got better. Sometimes discount by typing afterdawn or cdfreaks in coupon area.

I learned something to day. Thanks arniebear.

You are welcome, not only that but if you have AnyDVD opened and then put in your CD you will not get the Sony RootKit loaded onto your comp, AnyDVD will stop this.

I figured that when you said it took the DRMs off.
