i am currently using azureus, i have a Motorola SURFboard SB5100 USB Cable Modem connected straigt to my computergiving me 1mb. the port i am using is 65530 but still my downloads rarely go over 10kbs can any 1 help me

Try downloading from private sites/trackers like demonoid, supertorrents, etc (if you need invites for those sites, ask/look here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/271926 ),
and try using torrents that are well seeded.
Also, try switching to port 1720, see if that changes anything.
