I've seen the brands recommended but but just wondering how good are +R's considered?

I have s Slim PS2v12 or model SCPH-70012 and just want to know if anyone would recommend them?

Especially since I have a lightscribe dual layer burner and would like to get these discs ( http://www.cdrdvdrmedia.com/verbatim-lightscribe-dvd-r-scribeligh... )

Verbatim LightScribe DVD+R ones, which unfortunately I didn't see as -R, unless someone knows where I could obtain those for a reasonable price.

dvd+r should be fine, it's the quality of the media that matters. :)

I see. But if I didn't have the media could something like Nero used for the bitsetting?

Also any guides on it?

And not bittorrent, I know what that is.

well only few burners support booktyping it depends on what burner you have, also about the +r disks, -r are much more compatible unless again your gonna bootype the +r disks to dvd-rom which are most compatible with ps2s,
so what burner do you have

Two burners.

A Sony DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Model DRW-3S16305C which supposedly is supposed to burn -R +R -RW and +RW, although it seems to refuse to burn -R's now.

And a I/O Magic LightScribe DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, not sure if either of them could work, but like I said the Sony one seems to refuse to burn any -R media. So its why I ended up buying those Verbatim Lightscribe DVD+R discs, but I'd rather not kill the laser too fast.
