I thought there was a thread already about audio being out of sync with the video, but I couldn't find it with the search, so i apologize if this is a repeat thread.

I used Jodix free iPod video converter to convert some VCDs I have. One of them converted flawlessly, but since then, the video is out of sync with the audio after a few minutes of the film. Even when I play it in QuickTime it is out of sync. Any known solutions to this problem???

There are no definite solutions to this problem AFAIK -- but try transcoding your videos at 24 fps & see if that resolves your issue.

Lethal, Jodix has the video bitrate in kbps not fps.
The choices for video are:
128, 256, 384, 512, 768, 900, 1500, 2000
The choices for audio are:
32, 48, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160

What is a good combo to go with?

I know that -- I was referring to the framerate of the video in fps (Frames per second..)

I now realise that Jodix doesn't allow you the option to change the framerate of your videos.

I recommend you download and try Videora iPod Converter, which allows you a lot more flexibility with the settings you apply to the video.

thanks for the reply, lethal

I have videora and currently use it with DVD Decrypter to turn DVDs into MP4s...but when I put a VCD file(.dat) to convert on Videora it runs for about 2 mintues, says it's finished, but the file size is about 64 meg and the file won't play. Do you know how to convert .dat files with Videora? thanks for all your help
