I recently backed up my game Resident Evil 4 for my slim modded PS2, and it goes past the beginning screen, past the part where it says ps2, but then it loads for a while, and then the screen just starts shaking. I have good media as well. Can anyone please help me figure out why it shakes? Thanks.

Sounds like your trying to play a PAL game on an NTSC system.

what chip re4 isnt a problem due to having a regin selector just carry on a bit till you get the choice of 50 or 60 htz
50 for pal
60 for ntsc

Yeh,I forgot to mention that as well.Just hit X down then X again and it should select NTSC mode.

well, the whole screen is black, (this is rite after the little ps2 text comes and goes) so, the whole screen is all dark black, and there's one slightly lighter shade of black, like greyish, and it makes kind of....

jus imagine, thas a rectangle, with another piece of rectangle on top
its a bad drawin, but its sum kinda shape like that, in a BIT lighter shade than black, and its jus kinda shaking, over the whole screen. kinda like u kno how when u move ur mouse pretty fast, u can see a bit of a duplicate of it, its like that....if ur mouse does do that. Thats as descriptive as i can get i think, i'll look again see if i missed any details. Thanks

do u have the original game or is it downloaded?
Also if u are in the usa and have a NTSC version set it to 60hz or to be sure test 60hz by selectuing the 3rd option.

Okay, I ripped RE4 but when I try to boot it, it says its not a valid PS2 game.
I know there's a special boot method for this game and it was listed on a site but now that site seems to have been taken down (not surprisingly, they sold burnt games...okay, I was a regular customer but still). Does anyone know how to boot this game?

if you download re4 and it is a burger release, it has a PAL to NTSC selector, when it boot up, i think you have to press x, x , down , x to get it into NTSC.
