so i got the game backup, but its pal and i live in usa, so i patched it with the adr patcher, and when i burned it, the game worked well but all the cutscenes were stuck after few seconds
i thought that i patched it wrong so i patched the original image with the pal2ntsc_yfix program, but its exectly the same thing, the game works fine when im in control but its impossible without seeing the cutscenes and understanding the story
anyone encountered this problem?

no but i have not backed it upi yet, doing that tonight. and mine is for Xbox.

What boot method are you using (Swap Magic/Fliptop or modchip)
Either one will play PAL games without having to patch or convert it in most cases. You may just want to try burning it without patching it, then using the settings on the modchip, or screenmode settings on the Swap Magic and see if it will play any better.
I have play many PAL games with Swap Magic, even though there is a slight bit of screen cut off due to conversion, they played just fine.

i have modchip, and the game will run if i will run it as PAL but the problem that my tv is old and is not showing pal

then that leaves few options,
1. get a converter for your TV
2. download a free program that will convert the game from
PAL to NTSC

thats the thing, i did that i downloaded a converter, the game works but the cutscenes just stuck in the beggining

Did you try PAL2NTSC patcher with Y fix. The patchers aren't compatible with all games.

37. Q. I downloaded a PAL game, how do I convert it to NTSC?
A. Use Adrenaline patcher if it's an EA game: http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_utils_files.shtml#ADRenalin%20Patcher Note: I've been told this works for non EA games as well. The screen won't be perfectly centered, unless you have a modchip that forces video mode. The patchers aren't compatible with all games, there may not be alot you can do. What chip do you have?

Yeah Magic chips may support games from any region, but I don't believe they're capble of forcing video mode. Sorry try to find the NTSC version of the game. You can always download it.
