Hi,

I'm having a problem with Nerovision. I want to brun some avis (dvix's) to DVD but when I add the files to the project the little preview pic that appears when I add an mpg doesn't show up! When the screen with the remote control appears there's no video playback either - much in the same way that when I play the file with WinMedia Player I get sound but no pic.

I tried to burn the project anyway and got the message, "Unable to prepare data for recording:Prepare session failed:transcoing of videos failed"

I have the GSpot utility and it said the file I'm trying to burn is a codec - div3. Name - DIVX 3 Low Motion. *codec installed!

When I play the file through Nero Showtime, it works perfectly!

Please, someone advise me! I'm at my wits end!

DivX 311alpha is not XviD. It isn't even MPEG-4. Try enabling FFDShow to handle DIV3 if you have it installed. Presumbably Nero's decoder works with NVE though? Pretty sure that it can handle divx3. That would be why showtime works.

If you really do just want to burn it though. You should be using regular Nero and just burning as data.

Sorry, I meant DivX.

I just installed FFDShow but how do I enable Divx3? What's NVE? Sorry, I'm not used to these abreviations!

The plan is to burn the avis to DVD so I can watch them on TV.

Cheers

What's NVE?
nero vision express.
when you start "NVE" the FFDShow should allow your pictures of your video to show up. if it still dosent work install "K-Lite codec Pack".
it has got me going again. my ? to you is:

I have the GSpot utility.
does this convert a dvd to a single movie so you can use it in "NVE" without having a bunch of segments?
thanks

GSpot just analyses files as far as I'm aware.

I installed K-Lite but still no pics show up.

In Windows Media Player 10 I'm not getting any pic either just sound.
