First, sorry this is posted twice, but I think it belongs in this Forum and not the "one-click" forum.

I'm wondering what software will allow me to rip a DVD movie and control the file size. I know this will be tied to video quality, but I still want to be able to set the image quality and video size (600 x 800, 480 x 768, etc.)

I have tried AoA DVD Ripper and DVD XCopy - but both end states are at least 2 GB. I want each movie under 1GB and I want to watch driectly from my harddrive, not the DVD drive.
