.Img-file to a "viewable" format?

Hello there

Is there a program which lets me convert a .img-file of a DVD to a format such as avi, mpeg etc.? The thing is i want to play the file with xbox media player (not make a dvd with Nero).

The .IMG is a sort of 'image' of a DVD.
If you mount it with Alcohol 120%, or Daemon tools, you should see on your virtual drive all the files which were on the video_ts foder of that DVD (BUP, IFO and VOB set(s) containing the movie and its extras, if any).
After you 'mounted' the image (which is equivalent to burning it on a DVD), follows the usual procedures for DVD -> AVI/mpegs.
