I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS USING INSTANT COPY. I DID EVERYTHING STATED FROM VARIOUS POSTED INFO. I USED DVD DECRYPTER. I USED FILE MODE AND COPIED EVERYTHING. I THEN TRIED TO USED INSTANT COPY. I DOWNLOADED THE UPDATE ALSO. I TRIED TO COPY TO HD AND ALSO TO DISK. EACH TIME IT STATED THAT THE DESTINATION IS TO SMALL. I DEFINITELY HAD ENOUGH SPACE ON MY HD. I USED FEATURE TO DELETE DVD ROM INFO. I EXCLUDED OTHER LANGUAGES. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED. ANY MORE INFO.

although the website offered here shows quite a bit on what to do have you tried using the dvdmagic registry file which allows you to remove special features and trailers etc manually without having to lose the menu structure? when the reg files being used you can take out certain movie clips or audio streams and use the free space gained to either up the quality of the main title or just keep the free space to make sure it fits on a disk. if you want to know more (thats if you're not using it already just leave a message here and i'll get back to you)

thanks for the offer but I just about know IC inside out now :)

it was a great hack to have till I discovered what it does so I strongly suggest people don't remove Titles using IC and especially if you have fussy standalones or else you will end up with coasters

I have shown the reasons why

feel free to check out the rest of my site for more do's and dont's regarding IC to get the brilliant results that I get :)-~

ALOJR have you got a Sony Burner?
are you writing straight to the Burner or HD?
ot's better of you write to the HD, then you can burn the PDI files with DVDDecrypter

thanks for the info. i have successfully recorded a dvd using dvd shrink to rip and encode and then burn to disk using copy to dvd and or instant copy(i tried both with success). I am using a nec nd 1100a burner. SINCE I FIRST WROTE THIS I HAVE STARTED BURNING USING NERO (AFTER I FOUND OUT WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG). SO NOW IT IS JUST DVD SHRINK AND NERO.

a friend of mines gave me a bunch of generic dvd disc which he said were dvd + but the burner does not recognize any blank media in drive when i use them, I suspect they might be dvd-r(but he swears he has a dvd+r burner). Previously i had just bought some dvd +r disc from from staples (optimum). Is there any thing that will show what type of blank media is in drive.
