Alright, I feel like a moron, but I have really never done this before...

I'm in a new apartment, awaiting DSL. I have a Macintosh G4, and a 360 that I'd like to run via the same internet connection. Is there a certain model or brand of router that I should be looking for??

Also, aside from the router, is there anything else I need to buy to get this going?? (by the way, I have the 360 Premium setup)

Oh yeah...I know that I probably won't be able to actually "network" the Mac and 360 together as for file transfers and what not, but I really don't care much about that...but I suppose it would be an added bonus if there was a way, but I am assuming there is a compatibility issue with the Mac.

router really shouldn't make a difference for the 360 aslong as it has Cat5 capability. and if ur not going for wireless then that'll be all you need besides a subscription card to play on live.

but i think your right about thinking the mac/360 would have connection issues, it may be possible but not that i know of.

are you talking running them simultaniously? or one then the other? (on ur DSL Connection)

Thanks for the info...

I'll probably be running my Mac and my XBox simultaneously quite often...just because my computer is always doing something (downloading stuff, working, etc) and sometimes I will need them to be connected at the same time.

Does the 360 Premium come with the wireless adapter?? I'll have to check...if not, I'll probably buy one eventually.

the xbox360 wireless adapter is $100 right now.

Yeah...that's crazy. That's more than the cost of a router. But damn, I really don't want my living room being invaded with anymore cords, cables and wires than it already has.
