First off sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I have almost completed a download of a torrent PS2 game, but I get an error with the tracker here is what it says "Error this tracker is for torrents on TBP only" Anyone know what that means? The download completes to 97.7% and slows way down, guessing there is no seeding. But what does the TPB thing have to do with this? I have downloaded the game from gamestorrents.com. Thanks in advance!

Ive had that error before but my downloads still get good speeds. The TPB is 'The Pirate Bay' (a public torrent search site).

The more pieces you have the harder it becomes to find peers who have pieces you are missing. That is why downloads sometimes slow down when there are just a few percent remaining. Just be patient and you will sooner or later get the remaining pieces.

Just look at your bittorrent client and it will say if there are seeds or not.

I figured out that TPB meant the pirates bay, by clicking on the tracker link. The download is still running with incrediable slow speeds like 8bytes not kb. For seeds it says 0 but next to it, it has a one in (). Its almost done downloading. Thanks for your help. I will just be patient as I download and burn them at work!

That means that there is 1 seeder however your not connected to him/her.

It's possible you may get stuck there for awhile. It's rare, but once when I still used Azureus, Shadow Hearts Covenant got stuck at 98% for about a month before I just backed up an original copy. That's not the norm, but it happens occasionally.

Like I said it's pretty rare. It'll only happen when there's few seeders for a game and their bandwidth is taken up elsewhere. I use µtorrent as well. BitTorrent is quite complex once you begin to understand how it works. Any yahoo can load a torrent file into a program and download. It takes knowledge to maximize your download speeds.

hello,
if you are using Azureus ensure you have DHT enabled

if you are not using Azureus,and are not prepared to wait,then install it,and use that instead
using DHT will/may allow you to connect to other trackers for the same data

hello,

although they dont like it,they cant stop you using it.
they tend to BAN clients which use it anyway
however,how much of a good feature it is,i personally dont use it,but it can come in handy in situstions like this

besides he said he was using pirate bay which is a public tracker i believe,i may be incorrect on that though

Yeah PB is a public tracker as far as I know. I only use private trackers, so I was just pointing that out.
