Can somebody answer my question as im looking to start burning ps2 and xbox 360 games?

what does swap magic do?
and do you even need it?
and if you do could you download it and burn it?

Swap Magic boots the copied games and yes u do need it because without it u cant play burned games unless u ahve a modchip and no you cant download it,ull have to buy it original

swap magic tricks the ps2 into playing burnt games. It needs to be loaded each time you want to play a copy.
Yes you need it if you dont wont to buy a modchip and void your warrantee.
A burnt copy will act like any other copied game and not work so you need to buy an original.
As for xbox 360 games swap magic is ps2 only, and so far there are no xbox 360 modchips. But there is a firmware hack that is about to be released that makes it so you dont need any form of modification.

Swap magic is for the ps2 only and it allows you to boot burnt cd's and dvd's you will also need another tool to prevent you ps2 from detect that the lid (ps2 slim line) or cd tray (fat ps2) has been opened this tool will depend on your version of ps2 post it and we will advise you of the correct tool
yes you need it for burnt games unless you want to get a hardware mod chip installed in your ps2
No you cant download it only a pressed disk can start your ps2 without a hardware mod

if you are thinkin about modding your PS2 then i would reccommend getting a flip-top too, simply because the other form of swapping the discs over is the slide tool which gets annoying having to do it over and over again.

The Flip-Top is easy to install and looks great, i have a full clear blue case on mine and it looks class.

Swap magic and a fip top on the fatboy are the way to go. Ruined one installing the chip. Got the slim mod, magic keys were easy to install. Swapmagic works great. Just do a search on Google and you will be able to find a number of aftermarket fliptops for your ps2. Good luck.
