Owk here's the deal. I finally succeeded in ftp'ing my xbox and here's how I did it:
I use a crosscable and as far as your guide goes I followed the steps. But there's one very, very important step which is not listed in your guide (don't sweat it, maybe it's just something of Win XP!) and that is to turn on the NetBios via TCP/IP in the advanced TCP/IP settings (see attachment). This is if you're using a static IP or if the DHCP server does not have the abitily to configure the NetBios.
After this step it was starting up Flashfxp and there was my connection. Now I can start learning how to copy games!
