Hey Guys!!
Well i have used DivX to DVD for my other movies i have downloaded and everything has worked out fine, i mean im no expert with computers and downloading but i knew the basic steps of downloading movie then converting on DivX so that it would work on dvd player! But lately on i just downloaded history of violence and when watching it in its AVI format everything works ok but when i then used DivX and watched it everything was out of sync with the audio, you would hear their voices then see their mouths continue to move a few mini seconds later!! Is there a way to fix this?? Thank you, id appreciate any suggestions!

I had the same problems with my xvid's. I'm converting my entire DVD library to XviD and saving to harddrive. I did a google search and found this. Oh, by the way you paid for your downloaded movie right? Ok good, because it's piracy to download w/out doing so. Nobody on AD condones piracy. This software is completely free and easy to use. Might take you a few run thru's before you get it exact, but it only takes a few minutes to re-dub. Follow these steps and voila. A newly synchronized AVI.

Download virtualdubmod
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdubmod/VirtualDubMod_1_...

Load movie in virtualdubmod.

Go to streams menu, click stream list.

Right click audio file and select Intereleaving.

Fix audio by changing values under audio skew correction.

We are working with milliseconds here so
1000ms =1 second.
Audio desynch is 5 seconds so 5 x 1000 =5000

Enter 5000.

Remember: if the audio is playing too late use negative values.

if audio is playing too early use positive.

Go into video menu and select Direct Stream Copy.

Save AVI.
