shakey jerkly audio when playing a movie

I have a Lasonic DVD player with Hard drive so I transfer downloads from C to E, plug E into my DVD player and watch a movie.

Last week the audio stopped. Last night I got it back and today it went out again, but after I got the addio back this time the audio in almost every movie format is shakey and jerkey. The video is fine.

The audio works in a film called Method Man that came when I downloaded Walk the Line. Why that one and nothing else?
