i used the method with dvd decrypter to make iso then i used the gnie expert tool to shrink it from dvd 9 to dvd 5 i thought it had worked great then found there was only so many levels on the disk when i got to a certain level the screen went black with a blue border there was no more of the game on the disk is it because its a dual layer i opened it with apache 3 and there are 2 layers to the game is it possible that the other layer is missing can someone please help if anyone has backed this up succesfully can you please help and tell me how to do it i tried the same method as gt4 but cd dvd generator wont take all the files because there are 2 layers and the information is 2 much i think i would be very grearful if someone would give me step by step instructions on this game thanks my email is paulraeburn04@aol.com

I had the same problem and have only got as far as working out that using gnie expert only takes out the second layer hence the reason it freezes half way through. As yet no rip kit available, or at least i havent found one.

create a folder,then extract both layer2 into that folder you created,
you should see all this file
\SYSTEM.CNF
\SCES_533.58
\IRX\IOPRP300.IMG
\IRX\SIO2MAN.IRX
\IRX\PADMAN.IRX
\IRX\LIBSD.IRX
\IRX\CDVDSTM.IRX
\IRX\989SND.IRX
\IRX\989DSTRM.IRX
\IRX\MCMAN.IRX
\IRX\MCSERV.IRX
\GAMEDATA.1
\GAMEDATA.2
then open cdvdgen,create new project,dvdrom master disc.
drag and drop all this file into the project,enter the volume disc name,and from file menu export iml file,save as 24.iml.
use my gd4_iml2iso generate the 24.iso file.done that and burn it.

Hi all,
I'm sorry Gnie I use your methode but the iso of the backup is always big (more than 5GB) and I can't burn it on a DVD5.
