Hi.

I'd like to make copies of my extensive dvd collection. I've done the div-x and vcd thing but I just want a plain old exact copy.

How can I do it and what do I need.

Cheers

Bob

You need DVD-R writer, nice bunch of free HDD space (18GB would be nice to have), blank DVD-R discs, patience, shitloads of cigarettes and few decent guides. Our DVD-R forum has nice guides for splitting DVD-9 movies to two DVD-5 discs and in lucky situation that your original DVD is DVD-5, you can also use 1:1 copying guide found from our article pages.

Thanks for the info. Any recommendations as to what recorder and should it be dvd+r or dvd-r?

Cheers

Can't really say anything objective, as I've been Pioneer-fan for pretty long time in video devices. DVD-R discs are cheaper and "everybody" seems to have either Pioneer A03 or A04 nowadays (DVD-R/W). But then again, never underestimate the power of HP-Compaq, who supports DVD+R/W.
