I have now bought a 360! But I want to create a home network for me to play wireless xbox live, (some ppl before said that a wired connection might be best, but I want wireless!), so I have a couple of questions:
1) what is the best wireless router to get, most affordable in order to play live with 360, (cheaper the better as it costs 60 for the network adaptor alone!)?
2) Is there any diff in a wired/wireless connection speed, ie is there any lag in games with the wireless?

Right now I have a Linksys Wireless G Router with SpeedBooster and I have the Microsoft Wireless Adapter for my 360, it works great..better than I thought it would actually. The SpeedBooster only helps with other Linksys Wireless G SpeedBooster stuff so it does not make a difference really for the 360, but for my computer it does. I had mine wired before I got all the wireless stuff and I honestly can't tell the difference. It's always unavodiable that it's gonna lag sometimes, but it really does not do it any more at all than it did wired. I am very happy with the whole setup. I say, go wireless if you can afford it, it's awesome!

I also use a linksys setup and have no problems.

One point I would say is. Only buy decent kit. If you are talking routers and gaming adaptors (wireless bridge) then buy from a company that specializes in this field i.e:

Linksys
Cisco
Netgear
D-link

Try to avoid the makes like Belkin etc. These guys are OK but I know people who had a ton of troubl with Belkin and others. Belkin are cable manufacturers by trade so best leave the networking to the experts linksys and co

Would you buy a laptop made by zanussi (washing Machine manufacturer)?
