I seem to have an issue with all NEW release games booting in my PS2 whilst I have my magic switch tools in place. This is with either original discs or backups.

As soon as I remove the magic switch tool original games boot no problem. My issue is obvioulsy in booting up back up discs. Has something happened with new games whereby they know you have the tool in place and fail to boot??

The problem i get is basically that on boot up the laser just starts flying up and down and making a load of noise.

The game I have been trying this with is Fight Night Round 3 and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

Any suggestions please?????????

hmm, i had the same problem with fight night round 3, as my laser or whatever was reading the dvd, it was making insane loud noises, so i figured it was the quality/brand of my dvd and the speed i was burning my dvd, so first of all try burning ur dvd at 4X, that helped for me or. . .get some Sony 8X Made in Japan DVD's. . . those are real good

I use Verbatim 8x Discs which are good quality and work for older games.

It seems something has changed on new games, cause as I say even originals seem to have a problem when my magic switch is in place...
