I don't know what's the cause of this, because I have this Liteon SOHW 832S burner for almost a year now and never have any problem. And I'm still using the same media (Taiyo Yuen & Ridata) that I've always using.
Anyway, jsut recently it wouldn't burn. First I tried w/Nero, and there's message saying the disc is illegal and wouldn't burn, I tried DVD Decrypter, it says "Device not Ready, Medium Not PResent". Again, I didn't give up and installed TMPGenc DVD Author, unfortunately another error "Device NOt Ready" and I tried to burn.
I guess that the pc stop detecting this "internal" dvd drive or something? Please I really need suggestions. Thank you

ddp,
No, there's not any exclamation marks in device manager or any error messages. I don't know how to check to see if the motherboard sees the drive though.
I updated my windows not so long, probably this is the caused of windows updating?

Haza,
Yes, it's listed in the Device Manager.

Riley,
I guess it's also time for me to buy a new burner.
