I have just purchased a Asrock K7NF2-RAID motherboard. I was just wondering whether anyone knew the settings for the bios so I can get my XP2800 chip running at it's fastest.

Thanks

Hi,here are the settings >FSB=333,Multiplier=166x12.5 all said and done this will get you 2.083ghz.(rated speed for xp2800) Your alternative would be overclocking which I myself would not suggest as it could lead to system damage.

Main System- Amd/64 3800x2 currently@ 2.5ghz. Asus A8N-E,win.xp-pro.4x1gb.Ocz platnium ddr 400,Maxtor 40gb.& 250gb.ide & 2x W.D.250 sata,Benq 1650V dvd Reader & Benq DW-1655 Writer,EVGA Geforce 7600gs,Creative Audigy-LS,Antec 750w psu. Vizio 37"hdtv monitor 1360x768@75hz.

That would be overclocking and it probably will run at that speed but keep an eye on the temperatures, if this is what your determined to do. Visit this thread for possible tips and more info>http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/83263

Furryboo, 2.25 is easily obtained with the 2800XP, i had my 2800XP running @ 2.5Ghz with no problems what so ever & still going strong after 1 & half years like this .... there's a few thing's to bear in mind before you start to o.c
1. you'll need a better hsf & case cooling
2. you'll need DDR400 memeory rather than DDR333
3. a good stable psu
4. a motherboard with fsb, vcore & memory voltage adjustments in the bios
& this link http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/101705 it is a really helpful thread on o.c'ing the 2800XP ....
Have fun :)
