Hi there can someone give me a few pointers?

I'm trying to burn a ISO with Alcohol 120%. I am using memorex DVD+Rs (I've also tried using Sony DVD+rs too). There is an error saying "Something is wrong with the recording procedure!" when I try to burn. I've tried to move the write speed down to X4 but it still doesn't write. I also tried this with Nero -- doesn't work either.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

first off can your burner do +R media?
What is the ISO for. like what game?
have you had problems burning anything else like a CD or anything?

You should not be having a problem just burning an ISO image.
Secondlt, Memorex are the absolute worst media there is to burn a game or movie on. They just plain suck. I would get some better media for sure.
You could also try to serch the web and see if your burner has an updated firmware available, this will help with burning and with media compatibility.

Yes my burner can do +R material. It's done it in the past.

Audio CDs burn fine. I am not sure about game CDs.

I looked for upates for my burner but there wasn't any.

It's Final Fantasy XII.

What are some good kinds of DVD disks to use?
