I know this might sound dumb to most of u but i am not the best with consoles.
I recently bought an xbox 360 core pack and i'm just wondering how to connect to xbox live?
I got manuals with it but no demonstrations on how to connect it up or what equipment i need.
any diagrams or pics or any help at all would be very much apreaciated

You shouldn't have bought the core system...now you have to go out and buy all the shit you need to play live...a hard drive, and a network adapter. Way to go.

Logjammer is right! These are the things that the premium pack has to get u started on xbox live:

-an ethernet cable
-xbox live headset
-20gb Harddrive
This will set u back about £100.

U will need all the above, and if u want to play games online, u will need a gold membership (12month subscription will cost about £40.)

The ethernet wire just plugs into your broadband modem and the other end into your 360, then u r good to go.
